Helper Agreement
This agreement is between you, the helper, and [LEGAL ENTITY] ("KAZI"). It adds to the Terms of Use and the Code of Conduct. You accept it in the app before you send your ID for checking, and we record the version and the time.
1. You are independent
- You are an independent service provider. You are not an employee, agent or partner of KAZI, and this agreement is not an employment contract.
- You set your own hourly rate and the days and hours you are available.
- You choose which requests to accept. You can decline any request; declining is never a strike.
- There are no minimum hours, no targets, no uniform and no fixed wage.
- You are responsible for your own taxes and for any registration the law requires of you.
2. Joining
- You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid national ID (NIDA).
- You send your NIDA number, date of birth, ID photos and a short video selfie. Our team checks them; only then can customers book you.
- An ID number or phone number already used on another account can't be used again.
- To offer childcare you must also upload a police clearance certificate and have it approved.
- Your profile then shows "ID checked" with the date (and "Police clearance checked" if approved). See what this means in the Terms. Never tell a customer you are "background checked" unless your profile says so.
3. What you earn and when you are paid
- The price of a job is your hourly rate × the hours booked.
- KAZI keeps a 15% commission. Every request shows "You receive TZS X" before you accept, and that is what you are paid.
- The customer pays a separate 15% service fee to KAZI on top of the price. It does not come out of your earnings.
- The customer's payment is held by our licensed payment partner until the job is done. You are paid straight to your phone when the customer confirms, or automatically 24 hours after you finish if your arrival was checked (by GPS or by the customer) and nobody reported a problem.
- If the customer cancels less than 2 hours before the start, or after you tapped "On my way", you receive 50% of the price minus the 15% commission.
- There is no withdraw step: payouts go directly to the phone number on your account. Your wallet in the app shows the history.
4. Doing a job
- Answer a request within 2 hours. If you don't, it is cancelled automatically (no strike).
- You see the customer's exact address only after they pay. Before that you see the district and ward.
- Tap "Ninaelekea" (On my way) when you set off. The customer then sees you coming.
- Tap "Nimefikisha" (I've arrived) at the door. You must be within 500 metres of the booking pin. If your GPS fails, ask the customer to confirm your arrival in the app.
- Take a "before" photo (recommended) and an "after" photo (required).
- You can finish only after half of the booked time has passed, unless the customer approves an early finish.
- Confirm in the app that the agreed work is done. Only claim work you did.
5. If you can't make it
- Cancel in the app as early as possible. The customer gets a full refund and you receive a strike.
- If you haven't arrived 30 minutes after the start, the customer can report that you didn't arrive. They get a full refund and you receive a strike.
- Leaving a job because you feel unsafe is not a no-show. Tap SOS or "Report a problem" and tell us what happened.
6. Strikes and suspension
- Strikes are given for: not arriving, cancelling after accepting, asking for or taking payment outside the app, losing a dispute, and harassment.
- 3 strikes within 90 days suspend your account automatically, and our team reviews it.
- We may suspend your account straight away while we investigate a serious report, and we may remove "ID checked" if the check is no longer valid.
- To appeal, email support@kemosabeonline.uk.
7. Reports and disputes
- If a customer reports a problem, we tell you. You have 24 hours to give your account and evidence in the app.
- You can report a problem about a customer too.
- Our team aims to decide within 72 hours from the booking record: arrival GPS, times, photos, chat and both statements. If no decision has been made within 7 days after the booked job, the evidence decides: if your arrival was checked (by GPS or by the customer) and there is an "after" photo, you are paid; otherwise the customer is refunded.
- Your photos and arrival check are your best protection. Take them every time.
8. Damage and theft
You are responsible to the customer for damage you cause or property you take. KAZI does not pay for it. If damage or theft is reported, KAZI investigates, may hold back the job payment if it is still held, may suspend your account, and will share your checked identity with the police on a valid request. Handle fragile items with care and tell the customer at once if something breaks.
9. Stay in the app
- Don't accept cash or any payment outside KAZI. Off-app payments are not protected, and asking for them can lead to a strike.
- Your phone number is never shown to customers. Use in-app chat and calls; phone numbers, emails and links in chat are hidden automatically.
- KAZI does not arrange monthly contracts or employment. If a customer offers you work outside the app, that arrangement is only between you and them.
10. Your safety
Your safety comes first. If you feel unsafe, leave and tap SOS — that is not a no-show. Don't accept payment outside KAZI. Take before and after photos; they protect you if anything is claimed.
More in Safety.
11. Your data
Your ID photos and video are seen only by our verification team. They are deleted 90 days after a rejection or after you delete your account. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
12. Ending
You can stop using KAZI at any time and delete your account once you have no open bookings. When this agreement changes in a way that matters, the app asks you to accept the new version.
