Code of Conduct
Draft pending advocate review. A Tanzanian advocate is reviewing this text. The highlighted parts such as [LEGAL ENTITY] and [ADDRESS] will be filled in before public launch.
Every customer and every helper agrees to these rules. They protect people working alone in someone else's home, and people opening their home to someone new.
1. Respect
- No harassment of any kind: sexual, verbal, physical, or by message or call.
- No threats, insults or violence.
- No discrimination because of tribe, religion, sex, age, disability or where someone comes from.
- No touching, and no comments about someone's body.
2. A safe place to work
- Never lock a helper inside, and never take a helper's phone or ID.
- No alcohol or drugs during a job, by either side.
- Keep pets and dangerous items under control, and say so in the booking instructions.
- Ask only for the work that was booked. Dangerous work (heights, electrical work, chemicals without protection) is not part of a KAZI job.
- Children may be cared for only through a childcare booking with a helper whose police clearance KAZI has approved.
3. The right to leave
Anyone who feels unsafe may leave at once. A helper who leaves because they feel unsafe has not committed a no-show. Tap SOS or "Report a problem" so we know what happened; we review it and don't treat it as a missed job.
4. Money stays in the app
- Pay and get paid only through KAZI. No cash, no mobile money sent directly, no "extra" payment outside the app.
- Don't share phone numbers, emails or social media to move a booking outside the app. Use in-app chat and calls.
- Only payments made in KAZI are protected. Cash or direct payments are between you and the other person; KAZI can't help with them.
5. Honesty
- Use your own true identity and one account.
- Don't book yourself, make fake bookings or write fake reviews.
- Report problems truthfully, with real photos and facts. False reports are a breach of this code.
- Helpers tap "I've arrived" only at the door, and finish only work they did.
6. Privacy
- Don't take photos or videos of the home or the people in it, except the before and after job photos in the app.
- Don't share the other person's address, details or photos with anyone.
- Don't go into rooms or open belongings that aren't part of the job.
7. If the code is broken
- Depending on how serious it is: a warning, a strike, suspension, or closing the account for good.
- 3 strikes within 90 days suspend an account automatically.
- Crimes are reported to the police. We share checked identity with the police on a valid request.
In an emergency call 112. Report anything else with "Report a problem" in the booking, or email support@kemosabeonline.uk.
